What are Moderation Logs?

Moderation logs are your server’s record of every punishment. Each log stores the player, the type of punishment, the reason, and the staff member who issued it. Logs build a player’s history, so the next moderator can see their previous punishments before deciding what to do.

How Logs Work

1

Create a log

Enter the player, choose a log type, and give a reason in the Create New Log form.
2

The log is recorded

The log appears in Punishment Logs for every moderator, and is posted to your Discord log channel if you have one set.
3

The player is notified

If the player has linked their accounts and turned on moderation DMs, Melonly DMs them about warnings, kicks, and bans.

Log Types

Each log type needs its own role permission, set in Roles. Types you can’t use are greyed out.
These are set by your server’s management under Dashboard → Panel:
If your server turns on Shift Logging in Dashboard → Activity → Shifts, staff must be on shift to create logs. Administrators skip this.
