What is a Ban BOLO?

A Ban BOLO (Be On the Lookout) flags a player who should be banned the next time they’re seen. Use it when a player has left before you could ban them. Active Ban BOLOs have a yellow border. Staff with the Ban permission see them pinned to the top of Punishment Logs.

Creating a Ban BOLO

Requires the Ban Bolo permission.
Create a log with the Ban Bolo type, like any other log. See Creating Logs.

Completing a Ban BOLO

Requires the Ban permission.
Click ⋮ on an active Ban BOLO and select Complete (ban user).
  • A Ban log is created under your name.
  • The BOLO is marked as completed by you.
  • If the player has moderation DMs turned on, they’re notified with the original BOLO reason.
Creating a regular Ban log for a player with an active BOLO also completes the BOLO automatically.

Banning in-game

If Manual Ban BOLO Completion is turned on in Dashboard → ER:LC, Melonly also bans the player from your ER:LC server when you complete the BOLO. You need the ER:LC Admin or ER:LC Co-Owner permission for the in-game ban.

Invalidating a Ban BOLO

If a BOLO was a mistake, click ⋮ and select Invalidate ban BOLO. The BOLO is marked as denied by you and is no longer active.

Automatic Ban BOLOs

Your server can create Ban BOLOs automatically. Automatic BOLOs show System as the staff member.
