What is the Command Bar?

The Command Bar lets you control units and calls by typing short commands instead of clicking through menus. It’s optional and built for experienced dispatchers, but it works on every service panel too.

Opening the Command Bar

1

Click ⋮ at the end of your quick bar favourites and star Command Bar.
2

Open it

Click Command Bar on the quick bar, or add it as a pane in your layout.
3

Type a command

Suggestions for commands, units, calls and saved calls appear as you type. Press Tab to autocomplete and Enter to run.
Wrap anything with spaces in double quotes, for example NEW "Traffic Collision" 1A-12.

Picking Units and Calls

Each unit or call you type has to match exactly one. If several match, the command asks you to be more specific. After you view a call with V, you can leave the call out of later commands and they use the viewed call. V can also open closed calls. Use CLR to stop viewing it.

Saved Calls

NEW and SI use your saved call templates from the call editor. They follow your account, so a template saved on one device works in the Command Bar on another.
  • NEW can assign a unit as the call is created.
  • SI assigns your own unit or group and marks the call as coming from Radio. You need to be in a unit to use it.
