What is a Record Template?

Every record in your CAD, from civilians and licences to arrest reports and warrants, is built from a record template. Templates live under Records & Reports → Templates in the CAD admin panel. New CADs come with ready-made templates you can edit, and you can add your own.

Record Types

Sharing and Importing

Click Share Template to get an 8-letter code that another CAD can import within 7 days. To use one, click Import share code above the list, or Import template in the editor to replace the open template’s layout with one of the same type.

Importing from Sonoran CAD

Click the orange Import from Sonoran CAD icon. You can import everything at once with your Sonoran Community ID and API key (needs a Sonoran Standard plan with the API enabled), or upload a record exported from Sonoran as JSON. Imported templates need the required fields for their type. Importing a Civilian or BOLO template replaces your existing one.
