# Age Requirements

> Why you see "You are not allowed to use this application" when linking Roblox, and the minimum age for each country.

## "You are not allowed to use this application"

This message comes from Roblox when you link your account. It means your Roblox account doesn't meet the age needed to use third party apps like Melonly.

You must be at least 13 to use Discord and Melonly. If your Roblox account says you're under 13, you're blocked even if you're older in real life.

  Melonly can't change your Roblox age or override this block, and contacting support won't change it. The fix has to come from Roblox.

## Check Your Roblox Birthday

    Go to your Roblox **Settings** and look under **Personal** for your birthday.

    Next to your avatar in the top right, Roblox shows either 13+ or \<13.

Roblox doesn't let accounts under 13 change their birthday. If yours is wrong:

| Where you live | What you can do |
| - | - |
| EU | Send a GDPR Right to Rectification request through [Roblox support](https://www.roblox.com/support). |
| Outside the EU | Check your local data rights laws for a similar option. |
| No legal option | Create a new Roblox account with the correct birthday. |

## Minimum Age by Country

Even with a 13+ Roblox account, your country may need a higher age. If your country isn't listed, the minimum is 13.
