# Application Settings

> Department-specific settings for applications and forms, including joining on approval, quizzes, and Discord.

## What are Application Settings?

Applications and forms work as described in [Applications](/Dashboard/resources/applications). Open one and go to its settings to find the sections below. **Copy Form Link** at the top copies the link for applicants.

## General

Two settings are unique to departments, and the ER:LC Ban Appeal form type isn't available.

| Join Department on Approval | Approved applicants join this department straight away, without a membership request. |
| Give Rank on Approval | Applications only. The department rank approved applicants get. You can only pick ranks below your own. |

    | Form Type | Application can approve, deny, and stage responses. Form only collects them. |
    | Accepting Responses | Turn off to stop new responses. |
    | Message for Respondents | Shown when the form isn't accepting responses. |
    | Send responders a copy of their response | Lets people see what they submitted, including quiz scores. |
    | Stage Responses | Applications only. Holds decisions so you can release them all at once. |
    | Collect Roblox Account | Applicants must log in with Roblox. |
    | Max Logs | Blocks anyone with this many moderation logs or more. Needs Collect Roblox Account. |
    | Requires Roblox Group Membership | A Roblox group ID applicants must be in. Needs Collect Roblox Account. |
    | Cooldown | Days someone must wait to apply again after being reviewed. |
    | Allow Multiple Submissions | Applications only. Lets people submit again while a response is pending. |
    | Manage application response presets | Applications only. Saved reasons for approving or denying. |
    | Color | The form's accent colour. |
    | Upload banner | A PNG or JPEG banner, ideally 600 x 150 px. |

## Quiz

Quiz settings work the same as on a server. See [the Quiz feature](/Learnmore/Quiz) for setting answers and points.

    | Make this form a quiz | Responses get grades and feedback. |
    | Release Scores | Immediately after submission, or After Review once the response is approved or denied. |
    | Default Question Point Value | Points each new question is worth, from 0 to 100. |
    | Auto-Accept Threshold | Applications only. Responses at or above this percentage are approved automatically. |
    | Auto-Deny Threshold | Applications only. Responses below this percentage are denied automatically. Must be lower than auto-accept. |

Applicants can only see their score if Send responders a copy of their response is on.

## Discord Integration

Discord settings use the department's own linked Discord server, not the parent server's. Link one in [Settings → Discord Integration](/Department/settings/discord) first.

    | Required Roles | Roles someone must have to respond. |
    | Blacklisted Roles | Roles that block someone from responding. |
    | Events Channel | Where new responses are posted. |
    | Response Mention Roles | Up to 5 roles to mention on new responses. |
    | Results Channel | Applications only. Where results are posted, with customisable messages. |
    | Reveal Reviewer | Shows who reviewed the response in the result. |
    | Mention User | Mentions the applicant in the result. |
    | Customize Application Approved / Denied DM | Applications only. The DMs sent to applicants. |

## Advanced

Duplicate the form, delete all responses, or delete the form, the same as on a server. Deleting can't be undone and needs Manage Resources. The form's audit log is also here.
