> ## Documentation Index > Fetch the complete documentation index at: https://docs.melonly.xyz/llms.txt > Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further. # Court and DMV Hub > Pay tickets and fines, handle court cases and bonds, and renew licences and vehicles for your civilian character. *** ## What are the Court and DMV Hubs? Both hubs are on the [Civilian panel](/CAD/User/civilian) top bar and show what's waiting for your active character. * **Court Hub**: tickets, fines, court cases, bonds, jail time and warrants. * **DMV Hub**: expired licences and vehicle registrations you can renew. A red dot on either button means something needs your attention. The Court Hub window on the Court tab, showing the Jail and Current cases sections, with the Payments tab next to it *** ## Tickets Open **Court Hub** and go to the **Payments** tab. Each pending ticket shows its fine and a deadline. | Button | What it does | | - | - | | Pay | Accept the ticket. The fine is taken now and any points or suspensions are applied. | | Request hearing | Contest the ticket in court | | View | Open the ticket | If you don't pay or contest a ticket before the deadline, it's convicted automatically and the fine moves to your unpaid fines. Your server sets the deadline, and it can differ per ticket type. *** ## Fines Fines from court convictions and missed ticket deadlines appear under **Fines to pay** on the Payments tab. Click **Pay** to pay one from your character's balance. If paying would take your balance below zero, you're asked to confirm first. *** ## Request Prosecution If your server doesn't prosecute charges automatically, records with charges have a **Request Prosecution** button. Open the record from **My records** and click it. | What you see | What you can do | | - | - | | Pending | Choose Resolve and plead guilty to accept the penalties, or Request trial to go to court | | Already Requested | A hearing is pending. You can cancel it. | | Hearing Concluded | The case is over. You can't request another hearing. | | Not Eligible | This record can't go to court | Your server may only allow hearings for records with charges (see [Law settings](/CAD/Admin/law#configuration)). *** ## Court Cases The **Court** tab lists your open cases, each marked as a bond hearing or a trial, with the fine and jail time involved. A judge decides each case on the [Law panel](/CAD/User/court-cases). ### Plead guilty If your server allows guilty pleas, eligible cases show **Plead guilty**. The fine and jail time are applied straight away and the case closes. Your server may multiply the fine and jail time for a guilty plea (up to 10 times). If so, the case shows the multipliers. *** ## Jail and Bonds While your character is jailed, held by the court or owes bond, it's locked. You can't edit it, create records or make 911 calls. | State | What it means | | - | - | | Jailed | Serving a sentence. The Court tab shows the time left and release date. | | Held for bond | Waiting for a judge to decide on bond | | Bond owed | A judge set bond. Use Post bond to pay it and be released until your trial. | | Awaiting trial (denied bond) | Held until the trial is decided | | Bond revoked | Back in jail until a judge sets a new bond | You need enough balance to post bond, unless your server has turned balances off. If you're acquitted, any bond you paid is refunded. The Court tab also lists your warrants, if you have any. *** ## DMV Hub **DMV Hub** lists your active character's expired licences and vehicle registrations, and warns you if one has been suspended or revoked. Click **Renew** on an expired document. The cost is taken from your character's balance, and some renewals are free. Some documents can't be renewed while you have an unpaid ticket linked to them.
